After serving as a middle school teacher in the Santa Ana USD for 15 years, Rob became the Literacy Coordinator and then Co-director for the University of California, Irvine History Project. He later served as a site administrator prior to moving onto the Orange County Department of Education, as the Coordinator for K-12 History-Social Science. He has also taught at Concordia University, Irvine and Santa Ana College. Just prior to joining Studies Weekly, Rob coordinated K-12 social studies and secondary World Languages for the Irvine USD as a central office administrator.
Rob is also a Past-President of the
California Council for the Social Studies and is passionate about supporting teachers who embrace the intersection between making sense of the past WHILE developing the very skills (critical thinking and academic literacy) that empower students to effect positive change around them in the present.
