About me
Mat Barnett is the director of TK-12 programs in the Beaumont Unified School District. Prior to coming to Beaumont he was a director of education services and the principal at Nicolas Junior High School in the Fullerton School District During his tenure as an administrator, he has worked at the elementary, junior high and high school levels. He was a junior high English teacher and activities director before going into administration. Mat holds a bachelor of arts degree from Concordia University in Irvine, a master of science in education degree from Pepperdine University and a Ph.D. degree from the Claremont Graduate University. Mat lives in Yucaipa with his wife, Carrie. Together, he and Carrie have five children ranging in ages from 7 to 25 years.
