This course is expected to be taken by all Principals, Assistant Principals and Administrative Designees. The training will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the suspension and expulsion process as well as the following components: Question/Concern District Process, Conducting an Investigation, Nexus to School, Effective Questioning, Due Process, Emergency Removal, Other Means of Correction, Restorative Practices, Notifying Law Enforcement, EC 49079 Notification to Teacher, FERPA, Manifestation Determinations (Section 504 and Special Education Students), the Administrative Hearing Process, and Aeries Discipline Management. We look forward to ensuring that our Administrative Team has all of the tools that they need for a successful school year as it pertains to District discipline policies, procedures and practices.
